My name is Jon Osmond
Since I first saw the Oceanreef IDM, I knew I had to try one. It looked like something straight out of Star Wars—and as both a kid and an adult, I’ve always loved Star Wars—so I had to find out more. I was convinced it would be out of this world… and it didn’t disappoint.
I’ve now been diving for over 10 years, and as soon as I could, I got myself qualified to use the IDM. When I became a dive instructor, it was the very first instructor specialty I completed, so I could share the experience with others. Diving with the IDM, especially when paired with its underwater communication system, completely transforms how you experience the underwater world—it’s an incredible piece of kit.
That passion has only grown. I went on to become a certified Oceanreef Instructor Trainer, as well as an Oceanreef representative in the UK, allowing me to support and develop other divers and instructors using this amazing equipment.
A few years ago, I set myself a mission: to offer a complete, all-in-one experience for anyone diving with an Oceanreef mask. To make that happen, I trained as a service technician across the full range of Oceanreef products. From there, I established Oceanreef IDM Servicing and Dive Club—providing expert servicing, organising pleasure dives, and building a community of qualified Oceanreef IDM divers who can come together and enjoy diving as a group.
Here at Oceanreef IDM Servicing and Dive Club, I am committed not just to providing high-quality products and services, but to going above and beyond to make sure every diver has the best possible experience.
